Product Overview
PFERD Carbide Bur SG-3 Pointed Tree Shape TOUGH Double Cut 3/8" x 3/4" x 1/4" Shank
The TOUGH cut has been specially designed for tough operating conditions such as in shipyards, foundries and steel construction. It is also ideal for all demanding production environments where frequent tooth breakages and other damage to conventional burs occur. Tree bur with pointed end, shape G.

The highly accurate concentricity enables precise work free from chatter marks. This considerably reduces wear on the bur and power tool or machine.
Advantages 1:
Innovative quick-mounting system guarantees convenient handling and cool grinding
Advantages 2:
Minimized tooth chipping/breakage, splintering, and bur failures due to very robust, high-performance cut.
Advantages 3:
Can also be used at a lower rotational speed.
Advantages 4:
Due to their extreme impact resistance, they are an ideal option when an extended-shank bur is needed.
Applications:
Cutting out holes
Applications 1:
Deburring
Applications 2:
Leveling
Applications 3:
Milling
Applications 4:
Milling out
Applications 5:
Surface work

Recommendations for use:
Observe the recommended rotational speed.
Recommendations for use 1:
The TOUGH cut can be used on materials up to 580 HV (54 HRC). For hard materials, it is recommended to test the bur on the same material before using on the actual workpiece.
Recommendations for use 2:
TOUGH cut carbide burs are also designed for high-impact applications when using shank extensions, for applications with a high surface contact angle, for work on narrow contours, and for applications where slower rotational speeds are used.
Recommendations for use 3:
The smaller the bur diameter is in the area being used, the higher the recommended rotational speed can be.
Recommendations for use 4:
For the most cost-effective bur use, work with higher rotational/peripheral speeds. For burs with a 1/4" shank diameter, use power tools with a power output from 300 watts.
